The Practice
 We are approved by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) as a practice that can train both small animal and equine nursing staff.
We are extremely proud of our accreditation by the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme. The scheme was launched in January 2005 to establish a quality assurance framework to promote and maintain the highest standard of veterinary care.
A brief history of Hird and Partners
Veterinary Surgeon, Mr John Hird, took over the practice in 1977 from John Abbott. The premises had already been a veterinary surgery for nearly 200 years! The practice grew and became Hird and Partners in 1993.
