Pet passports and horse passports
It is now possible for PETS to travel abroad with their owners under the new passport scheme introduced by DEFRA (the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs). To enable such travel your pet must undergo routine blood testing, vaccination, parasite control and have a PET passport. We have authorisation from DEFRA and are able to assist owners wishing to obtain a PET passport. Click on the links to find out more information about PET passports for dogs and cats.
DEFRA have also introduced a Horse Passport Scheme. Unlike the PET passport scheme, the horse passport scheme is a LEGAL requirement and was introduced to ensure the safe usage of certain drugs in animals that may enter the human food chain.
